Join Smarty and a classroom of Energy Detectives on their quest to solve "The Mysterious Equation"!
- Teachers attend a short, engaging, after-school workshop held in their district and receive all of the learning materials
- A complete energy awareness and conservation program for primary students
- Cross-curricular and safety connections are outlined across grade and subject areas
- Students become energy detectives in their own school as they read the story of "Smarty and the Energy Detectives: The Mysterious Equation"
- Entire program is available in both English and French
- Registration, workshop, and materials are all free

Program Resources
Teachers receive a complete set of classroom materials that include:
- Smarty and the Energy Detectives: The Mysterious Equation - an engaging, full-colour storybook. Written at a Grade 2 level, this is an appealing story that introduces students to energy, its uses and how we can conserve it.
- Teacher Resource Guide - ten lessons complete with curriculum connections, black line masters, overheads, assessment tools, extension ideas and take home activities as well as a recommended reading list.
- Energy Detectives Student Handbook - a student workbook suitable for primary ages providing supporting activities that can be used to assess their understanding of the material.
- Additional classroom materials - includes colour posters, game cards, stickers, and bookmarks.
