BC Hydro FirstWave site - Terms of Use
Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using BC Hydro's Educator Community Site (the "Site"). By using the Site, you signify your agreement with these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any of these Terms of Use, do not use the Site. BC Hydro reserves the right to modify, alter or update these Terms of Use at any time and you agree to be bound by such modifications, alterations and updates.
Intellectual Property.
All content and material on this Site is protected under applicable copyright, trademark and other proprietary or intellectual property rights. The copying, redistribution, use or publication by you of any such content or any part of the Site, except as allowed below, is strictly prohibited. You do not acquire ownership rights to any content or materials obtained through the Site.
The viewing or downloading of any form or document, which has been expressly made available by BC Hydro for download and use, allows you a limited, non-exclusive right to use the form or document solely for your own personal use or for internal classroom use, and not for any other use.
Privacy.

Of particular note:
- All information on the Site is considered within BC Hydro's custody and can be requested through a Freedom of Information request.
- Any personal information you post to the Site about yourself is collected by BC Hydro in accordance with its mandate under the Hydro and Power Authority Act and, with regard to our conservation activities, under the Clean Energy Act. If you have questions about how your personal information is handled, please contact Denise Browne at 604.736.7424. Personal information is considered any information about an identifiable individual apart from their business contact information.
- You may not post personal information to the Site about identifiable third parties without their explicit permission.
- Personal information posted to the Site is considered confidential. You should not copy or disclose this information to third parties that do not have legitimate access to the Site.
